Licensed Acupuncturist

We are seeking a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist to join our team. Current needs are 1-7 days per week with availability on Monday, to Sunday. Make your own hours. Our office hours are 9-9pm and we are flexible.

Our clinical focus is on fertility, anxiety, depression, women’s health, autoimmune disorders, weight loss and orthopedics/pain management. We are open to adding additional Acupuncture specialties like cosmetic wellness. Currently we have a medical director overseeing our day to day. We have a nurse who provides vitamin injections and IVs, two energy healers/ massage therapists and an acupuncturist/bodyworker.

This is a cash based practice, with no insurance billing but easy superbill creation tools. Electronic Health Records and practice management software for easy scheduling and billing. All clinic operations are handled (marketing, business management, etc.) so all you need to do is show up ready to treat patients and retain them with your charm and skills.

Applicants must be professional, drama-free, mature, and compassionate with openness to integrating TCM with Western medicine protocols and practices.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and interpersonal skills and confidence in practicing independently.

All of our acupuncturists see 2 or 3 patients per hour so there is potential for great income.

Requirements:
-Comfortable prescribing herbal formulas (knowledge of nutritional supplements and dietary recommendations is a bonus)

-Comfortable moving at a fast pace environment.

-Comfortable treating all issues via non-local points when needed (ie Master Teng, Dr Tan, Korean, Scalp, etc…)

-Comfortable treating all people no matter their religion, sexual orientation, etc… We are open to all people. Including, patience and compassion for patients who may have serious medical issues.

-Must be comfortable with social media as our marketer will be in office once a week to film videos and must be able to be on camera as we sometimes go on TV.

-Must be comfortable wearing scrubs.

Duties:
* Perform Acupuncture Treatments
* Prescribe Chinese herbs
* Perform TuiNa
* Be punctual and chart soap notes
* Perform Chinese cupping and familiar with fire cupping and wet cupping
* Perform tongue and pulse diagnosis
* Performing Smokeless Moxa, Gua sha, Cupping, and Needle pulls
* Proper charting of patient files
* Doing Office Tasks as Needed.
* Must retain clients.
* Keep medical charts that are capable of being reviewed by insurance companies for medical necessity
* Be able to chart on the EMR platform
* Capable of answering phone calls, texting and emailing with patients using clear communication and prompts if required
* Motivated to engage in and play an active role in marketing, content development, and neighborhood outreach via strategic cross promotional campaigns
* Evaluate session outcomes and maintain client records as SOAP Notes
* Comply with quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as laws and regulations
* Maintain continuing education requirements, read trade journals, and keep up-to-date on industry practices and regulations
* Clean therapy rooms and equipment used after sessions

License/Certification:
* Illinois Acupuncture License (Required)
Must be in good standing with IDFPR.
* Malpractice / Professional Liability Insurance Policy (Required)
* NCCAOM Board Certification (Required)
